There's also a chance that the above story has nothing to do with this and that IrfanView stopped seeing any TWAIN source after recent update to (the newest) Windows 11 Pro 22H2. IrfanView sees neither this new scanner nor two older ones, while Windows 11 Pro and all other image-related software (Paint and NAPS2 in my case) sees all three drivers and is able to scan from all these TWAIN sources without any problems.
